My friends ...

My friends who are searching through heaven and earth
Hold the promise within them of spiritual birth
Answers are waiting, answers abound
Through patient endeavor, answers are found

My friends with the fire of love in the heart
Are deeply aware of being apart
Until freed by pain from this great separation
They live in the shadow of love’s preparation

My friends aware of knowledge inside
Look fear in the face and don’t try to hide
All knowledge points in a single direction
Fear is ignorance, here is protection

My friends on the ocean of oneness agree
That things are the way things are meant to be
But part of the way it was meant to unfold
Is that everyone’s story be properly told

My friends with hearts which are truly contented
Can also accept what is being invented
Allowing the truth to come into your being
Is more than believing or normally seeing

My friends whose astonishment bore them away
Have more in their hearts than they ever could say
The heart is as boundless as heaven above
And smoke always rises from fires of love
