Before I believed, I was unaware, asleep, dead.
I had passion, desire, appetite.
I was dead to higher values, principles, ideas greater than myself.
When I saw and believed in these things,
I was awake, but motionless.
It was faith that let me act with unforeseen outcome,
Act with unknown consequence.
Go forward to be tested,
Go forward into life.
I had learned how to learn.
And that was just the first test.
