Was opportunity ever divorced from vicissitude
Or progress achieved without crisis?
Is crisis vanquished or opportunity seized
Without some degree of change?

Not by adaptation
Nor even transformation
Only through transcendence
Can you succeed
Never causing a leaf to fall.

For God alone is the Healer
And God alone the Creator,
The Mover, the Sustainer,
And the Goal.
