Each and every day
I get shorter
I get balder
I get deafer
I get blinder
I get weaker
I get slower
I get wiser
I learn the secrets that only time can reveal
The secrets of the aged
I become increasingly aware of my life as a whole
I see connections
I feel as never before the strength of my spirit
I have power
I no longer take myself seriously
I am self aware
Watching others do as I have done, be as I have been
Brings me joy and pleasure
I have learned to wait until asked for advice
And to say only what will be heard and understood
More than this is never needed.
